Pat’s Place on Oaksham Farm

Soft, earthy, and effortlessly inviting, this little bathroom embraces warmth and classic simplicity within its 2.5 x 1.6m frame. To enhance the sense of space, large beige tiles stretch across the walls and floor, wrapping the room in a soothing, organic embrace.

The open, step-less shower – with its delicate stone shelf – creates a welcome sense of space and offers a great alterative to the little shower niches we have so often installed in the past.  With plenty of room for bath essentials, this feature allows space for a few personal treasures—vintage vases and dried flowers—reminders that a bathroom should reflect the personality of those who use it.  Functionality is key, but it’s the little details that soften the edges and make a house, a home.

The May Warmley vanity, handpainted in Squid Ink, makes a lovely understated focal point. Its crisp white bench top and painted knobs bring balance, proving that cabinetry hardware doesn’t always need to command attention—sometimes, it’s the subtle details that tie a space together.
